DARE TO TOUCH

I need to touch spirits with you, my friend.

God doesn’t intend for us to live

in an isolation bubble avoiding trouble

by insulating ourselves from the risk of relationships.

What poverty there would be for both you and me

if we withheld our touch!

Let us touch one another in the Spirit.

Let us not bump and bruise each other in the flesh.

The flesh offends and repels

but the Spirit attracts

and draws two hearts

more closely together.

Let us sow to the Spirit when we touch one another.

Let us not hold back for the lack of knowing how to touch

for God will teach us in the touching.

He has touched us first

and longs to reach through us

to touch each other.
