LIVING HOPE *

A traveler has been walking along,

struggling, but staying strong.

She has always relied

on the One at her side,

though the road has been hard and long.

Her Father has kept her from going astray

and she’s helped many others along the way

Her life’s been a blessing

and her presence refreshing,

throughout each passing day.

She has set afire every heart

with a light that grows, but will never depart.

The radiant beams

all around her face seems

to be God’s beautiful work of art.

She has always taken the time to reach out

with wisdom received and believed without doubt.

Everything she has learned

to the Lord she has returned;

That is what her whole life was about.

We’ve all known her to be God’s faithful servant,

who has done what He’s said,

and has gone where He’s sent.

Many spirits she lifts

with her poetic gifts,

and the hours in prayer that she’s spent.

Now the gates are wide open at the pathway’s end

for our Nana, our Mother, our helper, our friend,

who has helped us to see

that we can live joyfully

If, like her, on Christ we depend.

She wears a gold crown, for she’s finished her quest;

In the father’s presence she can live at her best.

Joyfully she sings songs

to the One to Whom she belongs

with living hope and rest.
