FALL VISION

Today I saw a large flack of birds, as in a dream-

So many kinds and colors could be seen,

all voraciously consuming

bugs and little treasures, that they chose,

before continuing their flight to south land trees,

to be carried safely onward by the breeze.

The flight of birds shows us that soon will come

a lessening of daylight’s summer sun.

We are fore-warned: enjoy it while we may,

for soon will come fall winds, and winter’s day.

Just so, the signs of harvest soon are past,

our Lord’s return is surely soon-at last-

Prepare, and watch closely hand in hand

with Christ, our Savior, to the Promised Land.
