KITCHEN PRAYER

Our Father, Who art in this kitchen

praise to Thy holy name.

Wherever I am Thy presence abides

at rest or work the same.

I must this day prepare the bread

that comes from Thee

and give Thee thanks

That we are abundantly fed.

Deliver me from serving Thee

with a “Martha”spirit

instead of a “Mary”spirit

the better part.

For Thee I serve in this kitchen

as part of Your Kingdom

with Your power under Your authority

and for Your glory forever.
