WITH GOD I CHALLENGE YOU
Gravitation --
With God I challenge you.
You might drag me down, way down
But, not out.
Aging --
With God I challenge you.
You might make me old, really old
But not useless.
Disease --
With God I challenge you
You might lay me flat, flat on a sickbed
But, just for a while, a little while.
Affliction --
With God I challenge you
You might hurt me bad, terribly bad
But. I’m stronger afterward.
Darkness --
With God I challenge you.
You might blind me now and then,
But, I shall see light, the light of God
Death --
With God I
challenge you.
You might overcome me for a time, or even a long time
But when the trumpet of God sounds
I shall rise again.
